Do I really need a website?

Yes! A website shows that you are a legitimate business and conveys professionalism and trust. People want to check out a business before they buy, to make sure they’re dealing with a professional, so they will likely try to find your website to check out your product/services pictures, for evidence that you know what you’re doing.

Having a website, is an important way to have customers find you, if you set it up with the right key words, they will be able to find you in local searches on Google. It’s also so important to have a website if you’re a home based business, as you’re limited to how customers can find you, as they can’t just walk down the main street of town and walk in to your shop.

One thing to think about, is that if you run your home based business entirely off Facebook, then you risk losing business, if Facebook was to crash or go out of business.

And finally, having a website is a way to showcase you, your products/services and demonstrate credibility through testimonials. Testimonials give credibility and create trust that you will give the customer what they’re looking for.
