For the next few weeks, I’m sharing with you, my best time-saving tips, so you can find more time. I know, you’re thinking, how do I find time, when I’m already ‘working smart’? This is possible.
As small business owners, we are all looking for ways to generate more revenue, to grow and improve our business. The more time you free up, the more time you’ll have to generate more money.
Or if you’re doing too much, and are stressed to the maximum, then you’ll be looking to reduce your hours, so you can have more down-time and family time.
If this sounds like you, then read on and I hope you’ll find these tips of value.
Take your lunchbreak
I know what you’re thinking. You don’t have time to sit down for lunch. You’ve got too many things to get done by the end of the day. I understand and I’ve been there. What I’ve finally come to realise, is that your body and brain need a break to refresh. By taking a 15 minute break, you’ll actually find that you can be more productive for the rest of the day.
Hold virtual meetings
Eliminate time spent travelling to and from meetings, by holding some of your meetings as ‘virtual’ meetings. You can do this with tools such as Skype or Zoom, via video calls, so that you don’t lose that inter-personal connection. Give it a try and see if it can work for you.
Embrace digital and stop double-work
Are you still creating hard copy files/checklists/notes for your clients as well as electronic files? Stop it! Seriously, with all the technology available at our fingertips, you can have your processes setup digitally/electronically and save time. No more printing, no more stationery, no more boring filing. This will save you time and reduce office overhead costs.
Use templates on your iPhone
Did you know that on your iPhone, you can use an app called Crisp email template keyboard, for a worthy investment of $2, which allows you to send and reply to emails and texts, with pre-set templates, saving you time.
Now, go ahead and get started with the above tips and see if you can save yourself time.
